Technology – Recent Projects

  • TSA Safety Information System
Onyx-ZGi was awarded a contract to implement and host a system called the Safety Information System (SIS) to be accessible by authorized users TSA-wide at airports and hubs throughout the country. The SIS is a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) product known commercially as the Incident Analysis Module (IAM) developed by The Zoldak Group, Inc. (ZGi). The SIS has been implemented to comply with the Department of Labor’s standard for occupational injury and illness (29 CFR 1904) adopted by the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Standard (29 CFR 1960).

  • Army Hazard Tracking System
Hazard Tracking System (HTS) is a suite of software tools and a risk-based methodology that has successfully supported risk-based environment, safety, and occupational health programs in the Department of Defense (DoD) and federal government since 1994. This proof of concept extends to the Army Installation Management Agency (IMA) which successfully uses the web-based version to support all installations in its European Region. One reason why the Onyx/ZGi team has been chosen to provide the HTS is because of its stable, proven team of ESOH and information technology professionals who have contributed to all aspects of program support, re-engineering, information technology, analysis, training, and field risk assessment.

  • Naval Academy RSIP-Link
United States Naval Academy Annapolis, MD

The Naval Academy was purely interested in tracking facility inventory information. Having done this successfully, The Onyx Group has recently been awarded a follow-on contract to incorporate AT/FP data into the system. This new dimension will add a module to show AT/FP-related information on the maps and floor plans.

  • Waterfront Information System WISh
WISh (Waterfront Information System) supports the planning and design of Navy waterfront facilities. The system provides a standard methodology for defining, collecting, managing, and maintaining pier and wharf planning and design information. WISh provides extensive end-user functionality in support of efficient querying, reporting and scenario development. Ultimately, WISh provides accurate and timely waterfront information for RSIP planning & engineering studies.

  • NETC RSIP-Link
The Onyx Group was charged to develop and implement an enterprise-wide, web-based solution for the management of all real property and environmental data for the Naval Education and Training Command (NETC). The information system developed consisted of three main modules:
    1. Facility-related, personnel, and loading information
    2. Natural resource management
    3. Management of planning information

The system is used to manage over 40 million square feet of space, 80,000 acres, and nine major sites.
