Senior Programmer

We are seeking a “difference maker”—someone who epitomizes creativity, character, and charisma—to join our team as a Senior Programmer in our Old Town Alexandria office.

Our growing information technology consulting firm works with government agencies on mission-critical applications, systems, services and products. We are looking for talented professionals to join our dynamic team and share in our growth. We offer unique challenges and comprehensive benefits. 

We seek an IT professional with 6+ years of experience and a background in databases to assist the DBAs with leadership opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Commitment to quality workmanship, and solid interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated, proactive in communicating progress and issues, and able to manage time effectively to meet deadlines and prioritize workload.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to pick up new technologies and business concepts quickly, and be proactive in identifying problems and offering suggestions for improvement.
  • Proven Leadership abilities
  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance
  • US Citizenship

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Must have experience in VB or .Net
  • Experience with Erwin or similar Data Modeling tools, database querying tools, XML, and Oracle.
  • Good knowledge of SQL, and experience with Data Modeling, complicated view development, and triggers (modeling and creation).
  • Familiarity with sub-queries, unions, data switching, and logical & physical data models.
  • Citrix experience a plus
