We are seeking a "difference maker"—someone who epitomizes creativity, character, and charisma—to join our team as a Senior Environmental Planner in our Honolulu office.
We consistently meet deadlines, solve customer problems, and exceed expectations by offering exceptional services and products. As a Senior Environmental Planner, you will achieve these ends by leading, managing, and assisting with proposal preparation, setting project budgets, managing projects from inception to completion, and supporting marketing initiatives. These projects encompass land and facility solutions including land-use, site development, encroachment action, and master plans; feasibility studies; and space utilization analysis. Responsibilities include leadership and oversight of all aspects of production coordination and ensuring that the final deliverable surpasses clients' expectations. Specific tasks include managing the NEPA process, especially Environmental Impact Statements and Environmental Assessments including extensive work with SHPO, creation of environmental documents addressing issues such as wetlands management, air quality, noise management, and environmental justice to name a few. Consistent strong coordinating and communicating with numerous key Federal, State, and local agencies and governments must be maintained throughout the project. ISO14001 and experience creating and/or maintaining Environmental Management Systems is a plus.
You should have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Environmental Science or related field and 5+ years of environmental experience in a professional firm; exceptional writing and editing skills; familiarity with GIS software program; impeccable research skills, and be a U.S. Citizen. Some travel is anticipated. Military master planning experience is highly desirable.
