Architectural Project Manager

We are seeking a “difference maker”—someone who epitomizes creativity, character, and charisma—to join our team as an Architectural Project Manager in our Old Town Alexandria office.

The Project Manager will be responsible for daily design and technical development of projects in order to provide on-time and unique solutions to clients. Specific responsibilities include: leading project teams and acting as a liaison between the design team and the client and/or business partner; managing the organization of projects and coordination of design teams; planning, monitoring, and evaluating the process of a project; quality control of construction documents, project specifications, and all other design documents; mentoring colleagues as well as the willingness to learn current industry standards; and marketing and business development.
Requirements:
- NCARB Registration
- Experience and organizational skills in managing a range of projects from small additions and renovations to large, complex architectural projects
- An architectural background in the production of construction documents, including technical detailing, specification writing, code compliancy, etc.
- Excellent communication (visual, verbal, and written) and a positive, collaborative, team-building attitude and behavior
- The ability to travel for projects
- U.S. citizen
Preferred Skills: (not absolutely required)
- Working knowledge of Revit (v. 2011)
- 12-18 years of progressive experience in field (or equivalent time frame for skills mentioned)
- A background in project management and construction administration; experience working on federal and DoD projects as well as LEED projects/sustainable design
- Proficiency in several of the following software programs: Microsoft Project, Newforma Project Center, Deltek Vision, AutoCAD, Microstation, Adobe Creative Suites, MasterSpec and/or SpecsIntact
